Do I qualify for the aid?

Public from Special Economic Zones could be granted to companies from the traditional industry (with the exception of enterprises producing alcohol, tobacco, steel, electricity and gas) and some companies from the services sector - IT, research and development services in the field of natural and technical sciences , accounting and book control, accounting services (excluding tax declarations), technical testing and analysis services, call center services, architectural and engineering services.

To receive public aid, an investment project must meet qualitative and quantitative criteria. The quantitative criteria (the minimum level of investment) depend on the unemployment rate in the county where the investment will be located and the size of the enterprise.

The quantitative criteria – investment level (depends on location and uneployment rate)

  • 10,000,000 to 100,000,000 PLN –large companies
  • 2,000,000 to 20,000,000 PLN – medium companies
  • 500,000 to 5,000,000 PLN – small companies, R&D, IT, modern services
  • 200,000 to 2,000,000 PLN – micro-companies

Above-mentioned criteria are reduced for medium-sized towns experiencing a downturn in their social and economic functions, and in the bordering municipalities:

  • PLN 10,000,000 for large companies
  • PLN 2,000,000 for medium-sized companies
  • PLN 500,000 for small companies
  • PLN 200,000 for micro-companies

It refers to the following cities:Bytom and neighboring municipalities

  • Jastrzębie-Zdrój and neighboring municipalities
  • Rydułtowy and neighboring municipalities
  • Sosnowiec and neighboring municipalities
  • Świętochłowice and neighboring municipalities
  • Zabrze and neighboring municipalities

Qualitative criteria necessary to meet. In the Silesia Voivodeship it is necessary to meet 6 out of 10 criteria, while in the Opole Voivodeship 5 out of 10.

Investment in projects supporting the following sectors: high quality food, production of means of transport, professional electrical and electronic devices, aerospace sector, hygiene products, pharmaceutical and medical equipment, machine, recovery of raw materials and modern materials, eco-buildings, specialised services, ICT services and in accordance with regional intelligent specialisations.
Achieving an appropriate export level
Affiliation to a National Key Cluster Development of a modern business services centre with a scope exceeding the territory of the Republic of Poland
Conducting R&D activities
Status of a micro, small or medium-sized enterprise
Creation of specialized workplaces in order to run a new investment business and offering stable employment Creation of high-paying jobs and offering stable employment opportunities
Running a business with a low level of negative environmental impact
Locating the investment in the cities of: Bytom, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Rydułtowy, Sosnowiec, Świętochłowice and neighboring municipalities
Supporting employees in acquiring education and professional qualifications, and cooperation with vocational schools
